93-year-old man called Jack English has been coming to California’s Ventana Wilderness for 82 years. Nearly four decades ago, when an old homestead parcel went up for auction, he bought it and built a small off grid cabin on the site. Many years later, shortly before she passed away, his wife told him he should live there full time. Now he does, living alone, off the grid, and making hand made beautiful violin bows.
